I would think supers would be a better staple than mealworms. And i just feed my geckos what they want.

I use supers as a staple and they seem to do fine on them. They are less chitinous than mealies and are much easier to care for. Bedding is pretty similar to mealies too, but I'd recommend carrots, apples, and orange peel for gutload. Along with some cricket food of course for extra calcium. I use Fluker's brand cricket feed. Supers are also a bit more fattening though, but neither of my leos are overweight. Also they are filling. Don't be surprised if your leo only eats one or two and is then done for supper. ;)

I'm starting to feed one of my geckos supers as a staple, he just loves them. He usually eats 2-4, depending on how hungry he is. I also give them to my other male, but he prefers crickets. I just keep mine in mealworm bedding and feed them carrots

I've been feeding supers as a staple while I'm waiting for my mealworm colony to get established (and waiting til I can sneak a dubia roach colony in the house...) and my guys love them. They're somewhat easier to keep than mealies too. Thanks to the supers, I was able to put some much needed weight on my little Emilio as well, and he's almost up to a normal size now.

supers are fine to feed.they are a lot better then meal worms.i dont like the idea of a diet of meal worms as they dont contain much at all in the way of goodness.my leos live on hoppers but have meal worms in there viv at all time and we have www (wax worm Wednesday) at the end of every month.honestly its like ritual to them now.i swear they know the day before!
