How many people feed superworms as a staple diet to their leos? In Ron Trempers, The Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos, it says that they should be used spairingly. It says that they should be used the same as waxworms. I would like to see what other people think, because i use them as a staple. Also i was wondering what people use to gutload their worms. Let me know, Ross

There are some people who post here and tell you that superworms should only be fed after their heads are chopped off, because they'll eat through your gecko...you should know this is 100% untrue.

I've been using them for 3 years with absolutely no problems whatsoever. Other expeerianced breeders will tell you the same...

As long as the leo isn't regurgitating the superworms, i'll feed them. I have a 22 gram gecko eating superworms twice weekly. Currently I use half Flukers Criket Feed, and half Cornmeal with 9% Calcium.

I use them a staple. I know they're a bit more fatty but they have less chitin than meal worms and have more moisture. They also last a lot longer.

As for gutload, I use Fluker's Cricket Feed, oatmeal and wheat bran for bedding. And orange peels, apples, carrots, and potatoes for moisture.
