Here's a comparison shot of the pair.
The male is facing the camera and the female is facing away.

For those who didn't read my previous thread, this is why I'm posting them... :main_huh:

Those both look like Rainwaters to me. And they both must be Snows, otherwise you would not have produced any Supers. As for the non albino Super... I have no explanation for that one!

Thanks for the feedback. What is it you're looking for in the Rainwaters vs. Trempers?

Scale count on the upper left eyelid to the left of the pupil. Just kidding.. Honestly, it's easier to tell trempers from bells but Rainwaters have a unique look to them, in the aspect of color and patter.. something I have seen from looking at them over the years. Someone else may have a better explanation.

Anthony,
These are both RW mack snows, so it's impossible to not hatch a RW albino of some sort from them genetics wise, so one or both being het tremper(as suggested in your other thread) would have no effect on the outcome(other than being a RW/ tremper albino)

Might I go out on a limb and suggest that maybe we are looking at a RW SS and a RW PATTERNLESS SS? Both parents could be het patty?

I have not seen a SS LVPA, so it's just a suggestion.

Great looking geckos !!

VERY tough call. I've always had a hard time with trempers/rainwaters. I THINK (and could be totally wrong) the female is RW...the tail darkens at the end and her spots look a bit more pink to me. The male's spots are consistent all the way down, not as pink - Tremper? This is just a hunch.

One way to tell...get a known Tremper and test breed with them (or at least the male).

Paul - He was suggesting maybe one was RW snow and one was Tremper snow het RW. IMO - it's the only way this combo of hatchlings could happen.

Actually, what I think Paul is suggesting is this. The gecko that we see as a Plain Super Snow, might possibly be a RWPA SS. This is the same thought that I had in Anthony's original post.

So the two possibilities for the Parents are this,
Either they are both RW Mack snows that are both het for patternless OR
One is a RW Mack snow and one is a Tremper Mack snow that is het for RW.

Anthony, how many hatchlings from this pairing have you hatched and what are the visual results?

Yes, I was suggesting the darker on(normal SS looking) may actually be a RWPA SS . I do believe it was Shelly that had SS patty and SS bliz and both looked very "normal" SS like as hatchlings. IMO the RW gene wouldn't effect the overall coloring as a hatchling when added to SS patty, but that's only speculation on my part.

I thought the "het" suggestion was tremper, but tremper het RW would indeed be a valid option(though I personally have never seen a MS tremper looking like that)

They both look like RW eyes to me, and honestly Ive never seen a snow tremper with that coloring, definitely looks like both RWs, id also say that they are both possible het patty or het blizzard, do you have contact with the breeder of them? Id ask him or her about them if i were you, or breed a blizz and a patty to your male RW and see if you hatch any blizz or patties, thats the best thing i can think of for ya

I would agree with one of these options. Ca it also be that RW can breed dark colors in their albino form? As we have seen with the enigma Bell and the enigma Trempers, it looks like that the Trempers does not hatch with the dark pigmentations as the Bell can do, maybe RWs can hatch also with dark pigments and those are just 2 super RW? Is anyones breeding super RW on a larger scale to see if this is an option?

Crazy thing is, no one realy speaks of super albinos much. It seems there are more super bells than anything. More people are starting to post now though. Those are actually the first Super RWs ive seen. I know albey has hatched quite a few Super Trempers, maybe he can give us insight on it. Im alittle leary of the idea though just based on the fact that out of the 3 strains, it seems RWs darken up the least in their regular form. Still an interresting thought though, so far we have 3 theories, I cant wait until this little guy grows up to find out whats realy going on.

The other option is it a Super Snow Blazing Blizzard. Where did you purchase the geckos from? Noone is crossing Trempers to RW`s, sorry to inform everyone of this.:main_rolleyes: I do not think one of those is a Tremper.

Here is a Super Snow Rainwater I hatched over a year ago. I'm pretty sure it was the first one hatched.

I don't see how that dark super could be an albino. It looks like a regular Super Snow to me. It will be interesting watching as it grows though, I could be wrong. Please keep us posted on it, Anthony.
