I think this might be beyond a prolapse...sounds like you have a great vet. It will most likely have to come off and be examined by a pathologist. Keep the area as moist as possible until you get to the vet. Poor guy, it probabbly hurts like crazy!

my male leo is going threw the same thing right now, the hemipene prolapse. can u post the pic of the suture? i think thts the only postion for him is to go to the vet in the morning and hve tht done, if the vet here knows ho to do a purse string suture, if not i'll hve to go all the way to Urbana. is the leo wide awake whn they preform the purse string suture?
