What does my females tail swaying mean? It is not flickering it is a slow sway.
The slow tail wave is a defensive posture. Sometimes they will do it if you startle them, or if they are annoyed.
I've seen them do it to their own reflection.
Mine's never swayed his tail before attacking *food.* He buzzes his tail, but the swaying's only when he's mad or startled. Once I was trying to scoot his hide back because the exit was blocked a bit and he kept shoving the roof off :laugh4: , but I accidentally tapped him on the head with my fingernail. He woke up and started snaking his tail around ... he looked quite terrifying, actually.Mine only does that right before it kills something... be careful
