Taking Geckos long Distances

Hi i live in orlando and were going to tenessee for thanksgiving and that is a 12 hour drive is their anything we could bring to mak sure my leopard gecko is ok like a heat source?

Your gecko should be fine at regular car temps for 12 hours. Our racks were in the 70's for a week and a half during a hurricane and all of the geckos were fine. You can pack a couple of heat packs in case of emergency though.

you can get an inverter for you cig lighter in your car to plug you heat mat into if you want to go that far.

Just pay your neighbor or friend to watch after your gecko and feed it in the mornings and clean his poop and give him water, thats easy I would think a gecko would get kind of stressed in a car where he's constantly moving because of the car bumps and stuff

I've decided i'm going to leave him home he is a baby so I will leave the lamp on and put a big bowl of water in there so it wont run out and leave of meal worms in there.

Dont use too big of a bowl, or your leo may drown.
