I think thats great but I'd get them bigger before breeding them they really need to be quite plump to ensure the female can make it through the riggers of breeding, but they will make some nice babys,

I have read, on a leo breeder's site, that Tangelos is genetic...you need Tangelo in order to produce Tangelo...not sure if that's true tho. Maybe someone that has bred Tangelos can chime in...

quote from the site:
"The tangelo is a tangerine albino and is not the same as the tangerine found in most SHTCT's the tangerine coloration is a recessive trait. Therefore you can only produce tangelo's by breeding them together or by breeding heterozygous animals together. Start your project off right with a pair from below you can't go wrong with these animals! "

Tangelo's are just a Ron Tremper line of Talbino banded tangerine. The tangerine is the same as the tangerine found in SHTCT's that is a polygenetic trait so it's polygenetic recessive.Future offspring will be influanced by this polygenetic trait that act in a recessive manner coz the trait is fixed in the genetic makup of the leo's.If you breed a tangelo leo's to a tangerine of any type generation after generation tangerine stays strong. But breed them out of tangerine generation after generation it will dilute a lot.Tangerine is a polygenetic recessive trait when bred to the same the influanced is expressed in varyed amounts NOT! a simple recessive trait when bred to the same that all you get all the time every time. The only simple recessive trait in Tangelo's is the Tremper albino.
