It's about time! I've been checking religiously for days, and could tell she was about to lay, but this morning I finally woke up to what I've been waiting for- now they're cooking for female in the SIM. And the ironic thing is that now I can't wait for the next clutch AND for these to hatch... and for my other little girl to gain 5 more g's so she's ready to go too.

Thanks everyone.

Roger, I was thinking of posting specifically about that in about a week or so. But since you asked, here is the little I have so far.

I'm using hatchrite, incubating @82. For about three weeks before I had the eggs, I had a thermometer wire ran into the SIM to make sure the temps were adjusted. I think there may have been some evaporation going on then, so I added about 1/2 cup of water to the mix. That gave me back my proper condensation. Since I put the eggs in this morning, I'm really gonna be watching them for the first several days just to be sure, though. I'll update or post a new thread later.

Another thing is that my incubator has a 2 degree spread before it kicks on, and with the thermometer in the SIM, I notice NO fluctuation at all. It stays totally constant, at least every time I've looked at it.

Fingers crossed, so far so good...
