exactly what i thought... my point is this female is tiny. like 33g only. and has been bred. is this right? (i didnt breed her, id never breed such a small thing.) .. just got her today.

i wait til mine are like over 50g and over a year old, are there dangers of being this small and young?

That is definately too small to breed. Shame on whoever decided to do that. I'm assuming it's young as well.

The eggs will most likely be infertile when they are laid...make sure you provide this gecko with a TON of calcium, and plently of moist substrate to dig in so she can start to make her nest and feel comfortable about laying her eggs.

She will need to be provided a lot of calium after the eggs are laid as well...make sure you are dusting at EVERY feeding, put some in the bottom of the food dish if you have one, and leave a plain dish of calcium for her to lick as well.

You will need to provide her with a lot of healthy food before and after she lays. Give her as much of a variety as possible. She will most likely go off food about a week before she lays...but she will need to be constantly monitored. Start monitoring her weight on a gram scale daily, and keep track of how much she eats. She's either going to pull through, or she won't. If she's a healthy 33 grams, she should be okay. As long as your nursing care is good.

dont worry ive been breeding fine for a while and fine with dealing with eggs and supplementation and what not.

Just never had one this small be gravvid.

well obviously she's still in quarantine so she's in a good place for keeping an eye on her.
poor thing will be stressed for a week or so from moving too, not gonna help.

Ive has young leos in the 30 gram range lay eggs. Now they were never bred so all eggs were discarded but I have had several young females do this to me over the 12 years Ive been breeding geckos

Im still not sure, her stomach still pretty much looks like they do in the picture. but im not gona be waiting much longer to find out. From experience the eggs normally take 2 weeks roughly to develop right? and its been a week since i noticed this so im gonna leave it another 3-4 days and if they havent grown at all im gonna have to start thinking about what to do.
It was rediculous of the breeder to sell her like this, i wish id noticed at the show.

she may have never been bred just ovulated small and developing eggs is all. just because they have eggs inside them doesn't mean they have had to been bred.

yeh i know. how do i tell, is it just basically the eggs are still there and arent growing after like 2 weeks. never had to deal with such a young gecko or egg binding, thankfully, and i hope not to have to now.
