Hey Guys,

Newbie here.... I had another post, and received lots of help! I bet someone made mention on the other thread about temps, but I am not finding it... I just got a digital thermo in the tank, and I am wondering what the BEST ranges on the hot side should be... day/night. I have an adjuster on the UTH, so I am trying to dial it in for day vs. night.

Thanks in advance for any help

Floor temp on the hot side should be about 92, certainly not below 90. Some people like it up to 95 or 97, but remember that if you're not measuring it inside the hide, sometimes it's hotter in there because of the retained heat. As far as the rest of it goes, the hot side floor temp should be that way all the time and in my opinion the rest of the tank can just go with the ambient temp. No need to set up a day/night temp drop for them.

I'm using a lamp for heat, and it says that from 6" away, the temp. is 89 degrees. Would this be okay if I left it on all the time?

I think it would be OK if you could have a red bulb in there. I don't think the leos want to be under glaring light all day and all night.

That's the kind of bulb I'm using!

A uth would work alot better It help's them digest there food since all the heat is going to there belly, plus there more active with a uth.
