Wow, I just read this thread and am amazed..

I truly appreciate the thank you Dane, it means a lot to me. :)

You're a good guy and it was fun for me.. My finger tips and knees are another story, after twisting wire and and squatting all night to get the bottom shelves..

I'm glad your happy with it and it looks great.. I can't wait to see it all setup in your room..

I also appreciate the outpouring of people who replied with nice things to say.. thats very cool and unexpected..

Sans Shawn! LOL!

How we did it :

The yellow foam you can barely see in the corners is flame retardant gorilla glue, that for some reason foamed out..

We used Felicia's method for building it from the bottom up and using the tubs as spacers between each shelf.

We used Paul Sage's method for the flex watt, with a few minor differences of my own.. Using foil tape on the underside really does push the heat straight up rather than down into the wood (thank you Paul) .. I didn't cover the top in foil tape because I've had issues in the past..

I have an identical rack like this myself that I built about 6 months ago. Dane's is nicer and has more room. I guess over time you learn to work smarter, not harder.. ;)

That sucker is heavy though.. probably around 75 lbs, but very sturdy.. you can lift the entire rack up by any single shelf alone!..

If anyone ever wants advice on how to build their own one like this let me know anytime..

Really thank you guys.. you made my night! :main_thumbsup:

Man... I thought you were cool. Why do I gotta be Ogre???? :main_angry:

I was thinking more like Chad and Alex Wagner. :main_yes:
(By the way, your the wussy one) ;)

Ogre rocks though! He can break bricks with his head.. The dumac!

You're right.. I like the Chad and Alex reference better. Thats fine I'll be Chad, minus the pink shorts and teal blue spandex. "can I see one of your special kicks?"

Who would be Uncle Franky?

Sorry for everyone else who has no idea what were talking about.. Jeremy and share a panache for Jean Claude films. He is the only person I've ever met that can go toe to toe with me for every line from all his Oscar worthy films.

The saddest part of this is that I own this poster, as well as every other film he's made!

Met him a few years back though.. Very nice guy!

Hey Hey Hey!

JCVD will do a spinning helicopter kick to anyone at any time. He is the Chuck Norris of the 90's and still kicking to this day.. plus he never sold out to the Total Gym or Walker Texas Ranger.. Although I do love Chuck though as well.

Don't mess with JC! He will give you the death touch if necessary..

He's 43 in that picture and still jacked.. I wish I looked like that now at 29! Except maybe the wrinkles and the 5'8" height..

:)

Just had to quote and post to see that bod again! ;)

Don't see much of his movies any more...... :(

thats what I look like in the off-season.. :)

Actually, when I met him back in 2002 I was doing amateur bodybuilding and he was at a show I did in Tallahassee, FL. Very nice and approachable guy. I was worried I was going to bug him out by my over zealous man love for him, (which my roommate was nice enough to tell him about prior to me running up to him like a teen groupie) but he was very cool and we actually talked for about an hour after the show which I got second place in. He gave me all kinds of tips to get certain body parts up to par and dieting tips..

My roommate at the time ran the gold's gym in the area and we had him come in for free work outs and I ended up getting a chance to workout with him. Probably the highlight of my life. Just don't tell my wife that last line.. ;)

He still acts quite a bit actually, however his films are straight to video these days. His acting prowess has improved greatly over the years and doesn't do a lot of the shoot'em up karate movies much anymore. He's doing more dramatic and comedic roles now and, really has improved. He does most of his work over seas.

Some of his best newer ones are:

IN Hell (very dark prison film)

Until Death (probably his best to date, also a very dark drama about a drug addicted copy who becomes paralyzed and rebuilds his life)

He's also working on a film now called - J.C.V.D - it's a comedy about his life starring him. Due out this summer.

I've been asked to play his young body double.. LOL!

Dane...I have to agree with you about Michael. He and Summer are two of the nicest and most open people I have met in the "gecko world" since we started breeding 2 summers ago. (not to mention they are alot of fun) Great people and they know what they are talking about. (BTW Michael, when we go to the Hard Rock again soon you guys HAVE to some with us no dipping out at the last minute like last time...we aren't giving you guys the option to say no :p) the rack looks great and I am sure that it will work perfect for you!
