The Black Velvet-offprings from 2007 are adult by now. I have 4 dark females (beside Blackie) and Thunder is the darkest male I've got.

The first picture is a development map showing 3 of the females; Carmensita, Shadow, Spirit

The only offsrpings so fare 2008 are those:

One male, Rufus:

I can't say if they are polygenetic, codominate or what...
What do you guys think?

What I think is:

1.) Shadow is Amazing! :main_yes:
2.) Rufus looks like he's going to have a lot of promise! ;)

Keep up the Great work! :main_thumbsup:

Thank you.
The interesting thing is the hatchling colours. All people are looking for black hatchlings and the go lavender as adults. BV looks normal or even lighter when they hatch.

Gazz: you can follow the development vertical. The light, snow-looking hatchling was a little light as preadult but are very dark with bold pattern to day (the first picture in the last row).
All nine pics are just 3 leos ;)

Looking fantastic! I love your BV project!

If I had to guess their genetics I'd say dominant... The Enigma has the same wide, very dark bands and a very dark head... I really look forward to updates on it! Please tell me it's het Bell... I think you'd make some AWESOME Bell Enigmas with your BVs...
