Think long and hard about what and why and maybe look at things from the outside, from a new perspective. Maybe this is a sign of something bigger that you haven't seen or the prelude to an end you didn't anticipate.

I think Wes may have a good point here. Jealousy and insecurity over the time we spend with our reptiles is only a symptom of underlying relationship problems. Control issues may be a factor as well.

However, if needs are not being met as a result of not enough time spent together with our partners, or if bills are not getting paid when money is being spent on our hobbies, then I would say there is a legitimate issue that should be a priority to address for couples.

Forget that, the women can go before my herps. Im assuming that she knew you were into snakes before you got married right?, she changes her mind after, I would say to bad you know ahead of time. Just my opinion though..

My husband knew my love of animals long before we got married and he agree's that herps are one of the better choices that I've made in pets lol. He might not agree with my love of animals but at least he supports me in it then again he better if he ever wants another piece of computer equipment again lol. We all give and take in relationships so when one person starts to take more than give then its time to re-evuate that relationship. A relationship isn't a dictatorship its a compromise. My husband has actually said several times that if I bring home another animal that all the animals and I are going to move out well he hasn't made me leave yet so I must be doing something right lol. There are times that I hate it when he spends more time with the computer than me but there are times that I ignore him to play with the animals so it equals out in the end but the best thing I've learned in life is that you have to make yourself happy before you can make anyone else happy.
