Here is a pic of Violet, our Giant Banded Lavender, and Starlight, our Lavender Reverse Stripe Snow Eclipse. Pretty interesting pic showing contrasts and similarities. We plan on beginning the Starlight project in the coming weeks. Starlight is getting huge so she too could be a giant. Hope you like the girls.....

The lighting was bad in that pic, too bright, and it washed out the lav. Here's a better pic of Starlight showing her stripe in true lighting.

woooow verry nice

how to make a starlight?

A little about Starlight.....she came out of a Mack Snow Eclipse project that breeder Garrick DeMeyer was working on. She has the typical solid black eyes and pink nose, along with the golden body coloring often seen in the Snow Eclipse.

Of course what makes her such a unique animal is the bright lav, black-bordered stripe, which thankfully has held up very well into maturity! She also is growing much faster than the usual Snow Eclipse, and the tail is also indicative of a possible giant. She is already huge at just 6 months of age, and getting bigger by the day. Her very sweet personality and great intelligence make her a real 5 star leo. When we have her out for socializing, believe it or not she comes to me when I call her...in fact, she runs to me at full speed when I call her! This has been witnessed time and time again by others, much to their amazement. She does this every time...so yes, she is a smart girl!

Starlight will be bred to a non-Snow non-Eclipse male, because our goal is not to produce super snows with her, but to produce offspring that will exhibit her visible traits, and hopefully her outstanding lavender reverse stripe....crossed fingers! How many of her offspring will have as good a stripe as her remains to be seen, but we are hopeful that a percentage will look very much like her, since the father (Orion) also looks much like Starlight as well.

Thanks for your interest. Let's hope for some nice Starlight babies this summer...

I wish I could see Starlight come when she is called. That would crack me up.

Hi Ken.....we've thought of doing a video of it and putting it up on youtube if we ever get time.....it's funny because she runs to me at full speed! Climbs up on my lap or hand, and just kinda looks at me like "Yeah, whatdaya want?!"

Beautiful geckos. I would also be interested in seeing a video of the gecko running to you when you call it.
