The movie 2012

I am very curious about what will happen when the planets align
will it be like a solar eclipse except with us?
will there be total darkness for a few months going into an ice age?
for some reason that seems somewhat likely to me as there might be a less amount of light getting to us causing even more climate change which might be what this planet needs
this is going to sound terrible but the part of me that thinks about what it all comes down to
it would be good for this planet if some of us died out, I just hope it's not me
seeing as how many believe we are reaching our carrying capacity

Planetary alignment will not block out the sun. The only planets in "front" of earth in line with the sun is Mercury and Venus, both which are not large enough in the sky to block much of the sun. It's also not guaranteed that the planets will even align in front of the sun (from our perspective).

As far as 2012 goes, I'm not a believer. As somebody said before, some people just look for 'the end' and when 2012 fails to perform then the date will be bumped forward.

I don't know what I believe either, perhaps not necessarily the end of the world, but I do believe *something* will happen due to the planetary alignment. People like to bring up and compare this to the whole 2000 scare, but you can't really compare it to that because that had to do with computers (and I didn't believe that crap for a second and was only 15 y/o). Who's to say what will happen? And I think Ken has a very good point, very well said too I too can't wait to see what transpires..

I also think Bonnie made some very good points.



All right, I saw this movie (Paranormal Activity) and although it had its slow and boring parts, it scared the crap out of me. That sort of thing is very real, but I can see how if you didn't believe in it, it wouldn't bother you. Everything they said about Ouija boards is true as well, it's very dangerous to mess with them and I'd highly advise against it.

Which side? Isn't the earth a sphere? So it doesn't technically have sides.
