The oddball leopard geckos

Ive been working with these guys for a couple of years now. They hatched very black as you can see. One has near solid eyes and the other has one eclipse eye. They are not related to eclipse or mack snows. The father was a first generation wild caught leopard gecko who is now 10 years old. So far all i have proved is they are some sort of line bred snow that yellow up as adults and they produce bold patterning even more so when incubated at male temps.
Ive put a few siblings back to these guys to see what comes out this year.

Hmm I like the look of them...so naturally I have a few questions for you;

1. Pics of juvi and adults please
2. Do they produce supers?
3. Pics of original WC male
4. Pics of the generations you have produced
5. Is the eye trait genetic?...If so has it been bred with an eclipse to ensure its not related?
6. Have they/Will they be crossed with a Mack snow to prove they are not Macks

One thing I notice about them which I like is the break in the neck band...other than that they look like nice macks to me...This is why I wanna see adult pics. Thanks for posting them though, they are nice little buggers.

Thanx for all your interest in my thread. I will try and answer all your questions and picture request. Please remember nothing at all is proven with these leos, only test breeding over the next few years will give me an idea what they are.

As you can see they have coloured up a lot from hatchlings, but there eyes have remained the same. There is no sign of eclipse like the white nose but i will of course have to breed to an eclipse to prove this out. I have bred the first hatchling to the only female i have from this group she was a super hypo like her mum.

This is the only leo that looks snow from that pairing. So i will breed the first male to her and see if we get supers. As for testing agaist a mack i am unsure how that will prove if they are macks as i have heard that snows such as TUG and GEM when bred to macks still produce supers.

I would like to think that if the eyes are eclipse or genetic then pairing the male back to its off spring will also prove this as well. I would be very supprised if they were eclipse due to the age of the parents.

Lastly hear the original pairing the male is now over 10 years old and the Super hypo is over 8 years and these were her last three eggs 2 years ago.
so she will not be breeding again. I may well put the origional male to a bold pattern grand daughter i have this year.

I have tried to cover everything that was asked. If i have missed anything please feel free to ask.

This looks like it could have something to it. Keep good records and test breed possibilities out and soon enough you may have something new. Thank you for taking the time to answer the questions and images. Keep me updated on your results with this.

Travis doesn't it sort of seem familiar on how it starts out dark and then oranges up. Like a cream. Not saying anything exactly but I know you have experience in that field. Just a thought.

They kind of do...which is what has me interested. However, Creams do not tend to spot out because of the Hypo Tangerine in them...also how much CT is on them would be a lot for a Cream as well. Some things look similar but there is enough differences in them (not to mention the eclipse/eye pigmentation in them as well) where I am interested to see how it pans out. The simple things like the broken neck bands alone would make me want to keep working with them. If only they were state side and not in the UK I would love to add some to our collection just to play around with. According to his post these are coming from animals that were around before a lot of today's morphs...and producing "odd" geckos with eye pigment seems like a fun project to dink with.
