I'm new to owning a leopard gecko. I got her Tuesday. I had never seen a gecko eat before. Well I was told to wait until the next day to feed her so Yesterday I put a few meal worms in her bowl and she wouldn't eat out of it so I just put them on the bottom of the cage. She was stalking them and then the end of her tail shook like a rattle....then she struck at it like a snake...it was crazy. I had to laugh because she is so tiny acting like a big bad killer. She is one month old today. Does every leo do that?

Not every leo does it, because out of the 2 that I have one doesn't, but yes it's completly normal and most leos do it.

I love the tail shake! But mine only does it when she's eating crickets, the mealies she just lunges at.
