I was wondering... If I buy a thermostat and plug that into the outlet.. then I plug a power strip into the thermostat.. would all the heaters I plug into the powerstrip be controlled?? No??

Just thinking this could save me money and I wouldnt have so many cords and wires.. (which means it probably wont work.. lol.. :main_laugh: )

Thermostats are designed to control a certain wattage. It really depends on how many you are planning to plug into it. Different thermostats also come with different numbers of plug-ins built into them. For example, I have a Herpstat that's maximum wattage is 500, my rack is pushing 450ish, therefore I will not be controlling anything else with that particular device.

Just be sure to do the proper research on the device you plan on purchasing :) Then you'll be fine!

Johnson controllers I have heard are very worth the money. No personal experience, but I know many breeders that use and love them.

I really like our Johnson controllers. We have a Helix running our incubator but I actually prefer the Johnsons. Different controllers have different wattage maximums so you just have to add up each heating device and make sure you're within a safe limit.
