By the way, when it comes time to post pictures on the main forums, I would rather not post the ones at the beginning of this thread. I don't want anyone [outside the round room] seeing dog hair and mealworm sheds all over my floor. I had sat on the floor to take those pictures because I was trying to be really careful with the babies and I wanted to see them attempt to walk around. I can take new pictures for when we post stuff publicly.

I finally got around to photographing all of the ones I'm putting up for adoption. I added the pictures to the thread in the adoption forum just in case anyone was interested in seeing their progress. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised that they're all doing as well as they are.

Right before moving, I had the Enigma in a deli cup ready for the freezer. He wasn't eating, the shedding problems wouldn't quit and he just did NOT look good. I couldn't do it though, and I don't really recall any longer if I talked myself out of it or if my mom talked me out of it. I don't know. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't. The little twerp is doing MUCH better, his color has returned brighter than ever and he eats like a champ. He hasn't had a single shedding problem since moving into the new house either. It makes me regret not trying harder on a few of the ones I euthanized. If he made it, they may have made it too but instead I gave up. I killed them.

Don't beat yourself up about it. You've had so much going on, and so much going wrong. With the numbers of geckos that were effected, I'm sure you did the best you could for all of them. You should feel lucky the enigma pulled around. That doesn't mean they all would have.

Wow Paul, they really came around. Don't beat yourself up about the ones that didn't make it. You should feel good that you were able to bring so many back to good health.

Thanks, but I'm not really beating myself up about it. I would be if I had just said "fuck it" and froze them all as soon as it happened. Honestly, from a business perspective (which I often forget to consider thus making me a lousy businessman, lol) it was a poor decision to not put them all down right away. I know that. I guess that in turn means that I look at my geckos from a non-business standpoint first, which makes me feel better about having them and reproducing them in the first place. I'm not a "gecko mill". whoot whoot for me. lol

Shanti, call me. I lost your number :( 920-342-0474

This is my happy dance.

All 10 females have homes lined up that are with people I know and trust.

But... since posting the pictures I have received at least a dozen PMs/emails and it never fails that people don't bother reading all the info I have in the post. If they're not going to take the time to read the information & requests I've posted about the geckos, why should I bother taking the time to even read [much less respond] to their inquiries?

This is me banging my head on my desk. lol

OH by the way... Shanti, I know how much I hate it when people request pictures, but if you happen to find yourself with a few minutes, I'd really like to see how that Enigma is doing. ;)

Hmm...I really hope he is a student who would like to show the rest of his elementary school classmates the geckos. I teach second graders who use better grammar and punctuation. AND WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY FOR HIM TO TYPE ALL IN CAPS?

Someone told me there's a way to block emails that are typed in all CAPS but I wish they had told me HOW to do it.

I agree that the all caps thing is incredibly annoying. I hate to say it, but based on what I see as a community college instructor that is actually above average spelling and grammar. :wall:

Hey Paul, if it's any consolation, I got the same email from this guy for a gecko I have for adoption on my website. I didn't even respond.
Sheesh. Sounds like some moron is out shopping around for free geckos. I was tempted to reply in ALL CAPS with no punctuation but how do you not put an exclamation point after "FUCK OFF!"
