What classification scale do you use to determine what makes a giant and super giant? i wasn't aware that there has anything been set in stone....heck i don't think anything has been penciled in yet.

^I thought anything above 110 grams was Super Giant.. that's at least what I have read. And then of course, there are non-Giants that can get over 110 grams too.. I don't know, the Giant gene is confusing

The babies are gorgeous and daddy's quite the looker too!! :smitten:

No doubt! I don't even pretend to get it completely :D
Know he is a at least a Giant, that is good enough for me :main_thumbsup:.

Thanks everyone! Godzilla, the papa, is one of our favorites. I have been instructed that he is one that I can never sale.

I have a male bell that hovers around 110-115 grams. I thought that giant genes were mostly only in Trempers, so I never call him a giant.

There are giant genes floating around in lots of animals. Sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident. Go by length more than weight. You can get fat or thick non-giants "easily" enough these days.

Body proportions look giant to me on big papa, but the classification scale I seen was written on the web with a keybourd ;)

The hatchlings do look to be Giant since they appear long and lanky.. We just had two babies hatch from a pairing with one Giant parent, and our babies aren't as long/lanky as yours ;)

They are my largest hatchlings this year, both right at 4 grams. Its funny but even the eggs seemed to look larger than others in the cooker. Or maybe it was more my hopes that they had giants inside. :D
