It's 10:35 and my new babies aren't here yet. I'm starting to get ansy . Stupid FedEx. The distribution facility is literally five minutes away from my house. If they're not here by 11 I'm calling and letting them know there are live animals on that truck and they need to get here ASAP.

I hate it that our mail system is that unreliable :main_angry:

Good luck with your babies! I'm sure they'll be fine!! The only shipment I had with Fedex and my geckos was late too - but it was a very hot day. I called 3 times to let them know it was live animals, but they just kept telling me he'd be here in 15 minutes - 45 minutes later he showed up.

They were fine though! Me on the other hand, I thought I was going to have a stroke, I was so worried!

It's always annoying when shipments are late but it does happen. Especially this time of year when there are so many holiday packages being transported and the weather can cause airport delays. I'd call right now and ask nicely if they know why your package has not been delivered yet.

It also makes me angry that we pay so much for shipping that is supposed to be guaranteed delivered by 10:30 or 11:00 (can't remember what time it is for FedEx) and then they're late!

We called...they said they can't get it here any faster. That apparently the flight got in late. But tracking says it's on the truck, and has been on the truck since 9:13. Got in the truck in Moline--which is literally 5 minutes away. So...wish somebody could explain this to me.

They're here :)

They're here, finally. We've decided to call them Basil and Ezra.

Didn't really want to bother them so I just snapped a pic before I put them in their new cages:

Cute!

Just for future reference, any time they're loaded on the truck at 9:13 you can bet they'll be late because of an airport delay. Usually, they load around 7am. I'm betting they went through Indianapolis and when the lows are around freezing, flights tend to get delayed. It's just the perils of winter shipping! Glad they made it safely and not too late.
