They are a type of recessive gene, not a simple recessive. That is all that needs to be said IMO.
for someone like you who has a very good understanding of these things, yes, but I think your not speaking to the average listening. I just feel that it's misleading to call them a recessive without explaining that they are far more complex than a simple recessive--I feel like it should be called a recessive if and only if it is as simple and easy to inherit as a true simple recessive--like the albino strains, blizzard and patternless.

Well I mean we should explain the genetics, but there is no real big difference in the outcomes, that points to anything other than it being recessive. Sometimes you just do not hit the odds, I`m sure you are aware of that.

If I breed an Aptor or Raptor to something else, I now have hets that will give me the results I am after. I do not think it is all that complex, and all that really needs to be explained is they work a little bit differently than normal recessive genes. Other than that, they work exactly the same way. That is why I say that is all that needs to be said. I should not have stated it quite so literally, and maybe explained myself a bit more. My fault!

All co-recessive means is that a group of recessive genes coexist polygenically.
