does anyone know how to get measurement for the inside of a viv? ive tried tape measure to no avail. also if anyone could show pics of cages with tile that would be great. :main_thumbsup:

I usually just measure the outside of the tank, then I take a look at how thick the glass walls are, and how thick the seals in the corners are and I just subtract that from my outside measurements.

Here's a picture of my 20L with tile. I used 2 12X12 tiles, and then just put down papertowel on the 'potty side' instead of cutting a third tile to fit. In order to fill it completely with tile, I would have needed the last one to be a 12X6... so I would just cut one of the 12X12's in half :main_thumbsup:

From my experience... the inside measurements usually match what the tank's deminsions state (it usually says what the inches are on the label or box) although I can't say if it's the same for all brands of tanks.

Now... if you are using a tank that isn't rectangular (Hexagon, Bowed, ect) then it's going to get tricky and your best bet would be to fill in with alot of smaller tiles... unless you really feel like tackling a math problem :main_laugh:
