Can anyone give any tips on how to take close, clear eye photos? I'm using a Sony A300K. I have a macro and regular lens.

Thanks!

Macro is good if the gecko isnt moving too much. BUt you also have to be able to focus good with a macro lens in order to get quality shots. Like robin said...good lighting and the angle will be major factors in the end result. I suggest practicing on some stationary objects with the macro first and get your lighting down before you try it on a gecko.

Macro lens..

MANUAL FOCUS
focus and zoomed to the max
then find how far you should be from the gecko
wait for them to calm down
use flash for a fast shutter speed.

and you get this

Thanks guys! Do you have it on the flower (close up) setting, automatic mode, or something else?
