To cull or not to cull.

When do you think its ok to cull a gecko? At this moment I just hatched out a gecko that didnt completely develop an eyelid on it left eye and it has a shrunken tail. I don't want any gecko to suffer, but would you keep alive, give away, or cull it?

I would see how it does over the next month or so, and then make the decision after I know if it's capable of feeding and thriving in general. And if it isn't, I would go ahead and euthanize.

That's my way of thinking because an unhealthy gecko usually wont make it pass its first shed, but on the other hand if its suffering why allow it to keep suffering?

That's the problem...we don't know if it's suffering or not...if it eats, poops, and acts normally, but has some cosmetic deformities you could try and adopt the animal out. If that's not possible, it's probably best to cull.

Well if someone wants to adopt it, I might as well put it up in the classified section then. Here's a pic of it.
