So I've known tokays were introduced to Hawaii and Florida in the 90's but Texas? According to the wiki page they are and of course every other site that quoted it. This is news to me, anyone know anything about this?

Hint: Consider the source of the information. Though along the coast to Brownsville I could see where it would be remotely possible on paper, but in real life I would be extremely skeptical.

i have never seen them butthere is a possibility but it seems (even on the coast) like it would be too dry for them *shrug*

They can thrive down here near the Coast. We left one that we couldn't catch in an apartment we lived in 3 years ago. The new tenant says he sees him occasionally and he's HUGE! It usually only drops below freezing 1 or 2 nights a year here so if they can find a place warm to hide they can make it through the winter.
