Hello everyone. Tonight I offered regular mealworms to my leo for the first time. He's had giants and crickets but not regulars. He ate 18 of them in maybe 10 minutes and I think he wouldve eaten mor but that's all I put in there. He's 2 years old and I feed him every other day. Is it ok/normal for him to eat that many? Thanks in advance.

Some leo's will keep eating until they throw up so as long as he didnt throw up id say that its ok and he didnt over eat.

Ok unless he threw up in a hide or plant I didn't see him throw up. I guess mealworms are kinda small anyway. Does anyone else's leo eat that many mealworms at one feeding?

Yes, my young juvie usually could eat 20-30 regular mealworms compared to maybe 5 supers, or 10 giants.

Yes, that is normal. Your leo was just hungry and ate as much as he wanted. Here's what I think, give your leo as much as he wants...

Well luckily mealies are not expensive. The store down the road has 100 for 2 bucks. I went back today and bought 200. Maybe I can start raising my own now.
