I understand there is alot of red tape regarding mixing bells and trempers, however i have only purchased these babies for the bell bloodline, as im hoping to produce some pretty bell tangerine enigma's, and these look like they are goign to colour up well !

Thanks for any help...

The eye in the first two pictures looks tremper to me, the third and fourth looks bell. If I was going to do a tang bell enigma, I would mix in the tang bloodlines as well; you really shouldn’t get much if you just have pretty bells.

Well they aren't bad, for just pets. They are nice geckos. The best way to find out for sure what they are, is to test breed them when they get old enough. That is the only way to know for sure. I still think the first one is a Tremper, and the last one a Bell, but that is just because I compared their eyes, with two geckos, that I know are either bell or tremper, but it is possible that I’m wrong.

I edited my reply within a minute because I didn't want to be the one to explain what you have.

you have the "pet" morph that comes from bell het tremper x double het tremper/bell. You don't know the genetics behind them and they could be either albino strain or even both and you don't know if they are het for either also.

To each there own, but I personally wouldn't buy an offspring from that cross to breed into an albino line.

If they are male, all you have to do is test breed them, to figure out what they are. If female, do they same, it will just take 2 years.

Honestly, I think they both could be double homos (no pun intended)... I know it's generally considered taboo to mix the albino strains, but I am not against it personally... The cross has shown to produce some unreal Bells and as long as you know what you're doing in a few years you could have proven non het Tremper Bells that people will drool over... However, for this to work you'll need to travel back four years because Bells of equal or greater quality are now being produced from pure lines... :main_laugh:

I totally agree with Michael they could be Double Homos, personally I don't see why you wouldn't just buy a pure bell to breed to your Enigma? Either way I think they will make good pets but I would definitely not breed them.
