Now she's nothing SPECTACULAR, but this little girl means a lot to me. I got her for a STEAL, but at the time she weighed nothing...less than a 4 month old gecko would weigh...and she was 1.5 years. I have her on another thread, about Marcia's slurry and how much it helped get her back on her feet.

I got her with a male, and female tremper pair. I got her in her own tank because I was concerned about her size, even though the seller told me she was fine :main_huh: I kept her in her own tank with a huge supply of mealworms at all times up until about a week or so ago. She chowed through those like a champ, so I felt comfortable enough to reintroduce her back into the tank with the other female, knowing she'd jockey for the food bowls.

Here is a picture from tonight...after she's been back in the same tank as one of my other females for about 5 days. All of a sudden she is a lot brighter. I guess she just missed her friend and cuddle buddy :) (they share the same tiny hide, no matter how many I put in there, or how warm the tank is :p)

All in all I think she's a doll, and I am so happy to have brought her back around to the healthy and happy side of things :) Hopefully the orange keeps increasing!

Thanks guys!

The tank is a 55 gallon actually. They are a wee bit spoiled! Once business slows down and I have time, I'll be building a breeding rack before I expand my collection of geckos. Ignore the old exercise poster in the background, and the mess below...it's a spare bedroom the geckos have decided to take over lol. The neatest thing they have is on the far left...the tree trunk hide has two levels, and you can see them from the side. Their moist hide sits next to the middle hide...I had it out for cleaning :) My tremper mack female thinks it's awesome to poop in it :main_rolleyes:

LOL gotta love their choices for a bathroom sometimes.. we've only bought one repti-hammock, and the three geckos that have it use it as their bathroom :main_rolleyes:

Very nice setup :)

Good to know Jess! I was thinking about getting one of those for their tank, but being that they like corners for their "potty zones" I thought again. It's already bad enough they potty in the moist hide, and INSIDE that big 2 story log hide on the left (do you know how hard it is to get it out of those corners?!) The setup could be better. I've had better in the past, but unfortunately haven't been able to devote as much time to them as I used to. I'm pretty sure they are still happy though :) The only really annoying this is the tiles that were on sale at the time have the curvy designed edges, so crap falls down between them and I end up taking them out all the time to get the tank clean enough.

I can't wait until I can build my rack!

Oh, I've been wanting to ask a question as well...I figure you're as good of a person as any. That baby I hatched out a while back, she's been eating live food for me FINALLY. All she's interested in is crickets, so I've been gutloading them like crazy. About how many should she get. I've been slipping in about 6-8 every night, and they are annihilated come morning. Every evening when I plop them in she runs around frantically until she catches one, like she's starving or something...

She looks awesome, the tank is so spatious too! (I can't let my geckos see these pics, otherwise they'll complain...;))

The general rule for feeding is to just give her whatever she will eat in 10-15 minutes. 6-8 crickets seems like a pretty goood amount, but if she can eat more, go ahead and give her more :) Just make sure there aren't any crawling around everywhere when she is done because they can really irritate the geckos when they aren't hungry :main_yes: Plus, if there is any poop in the enclosure, the crickets will eat it and that could potentially cause them to get pinworms, which could then be passed onto your gecko :main_no:

Oh gross! I didn't know about the pin worm thing, but I always change her paper towel once she's soiled it because she's so little and likes to walk around on it and spread it around the tank lol :main_rolleyes:

The little brat will not usually eat until we are out of the room, and I usually check on her within a half hour. Most of them are gone.

I've just heard horror stories about people putting crickets in their baby gecko tanks and come morning, the crickets have killed the baby gecko.

I just wish she would eat meal worms, it's so much easier, and they are MUCH easier to catch!
