Is it best to put the female in the males tub for supervised mating or vise versa?

If a female accepts the male the first two times & then a week later rejects him does that mean she is "done" until she lays her eggs & her next cycle or do I try again later ?

Thanks,
Michael

I have heard it's best to put the male into the female enclosure (or to clean the designated enclosure and introduce them both at the same time). I can't comment on the other because I leave my males and females together during the season and they "work it out".

I agree with the Male into the Females enclosure and typically if she has accepted then within a week or two rejects, that's a sign she has taken and is preparing to lay soon. If she took twice give her a week and see if you see eggs. If not then you can try again.
