Here I go, opening up a can of worms!!! Really, it's just me ranting a little....
UFC 104 was extremely disappointing for me. In my personal opinion, Shogun HAD that fight. That was the best performance i've seen out of Shogun since his Pride days. Unbelievable. I've watched it again, and again, and again, and even counted points a few times. It was super close, but Shogun won, IMO.
I think no matter how hard Shogun would have fought, if it went to decision Machida would win no matter what, since he's the "favorite". Even some of the ref's calls were biased, IMO.
I mean, if Machida's going to win no matter what, why even bother have him defend his title?
Brock Lesner...I see the same thing happening on Nov. 21st with Shane Carwin...do we really think Shane Carwin has a REMOTE possibility of winning if it isn't by submission? Cuz we all know he's not going to by knockout and definately not decision, once again, Brock is the "favorite".
And Dana...greedy old man that he is...now makes us DOWNLOAD A PROGRAM ON OUR COMPUTERS to be able to watch the weigh-ins before the fights. Which used to be free online right after it happened. He thinks his heavyweight division is "the best it's ever been".
His heavyweight division is Brock Lesner and Lyoto Machida for crying out loud! That's it!
I'm really starting to lose a lot of respect for how Dana is running the UFC these days. I was looking foreward to the Lesner fight until I saw what happened with Shogun and Machida. Not cool, IMO. :main_thumbsdown:
