Here I go, opening up a can of worms!!! :D Really, it's just me ranting a little....

UFC 104 was extremely disappointing for me. In my personal opinion, Shogun HAD that fight. That was the best performance i've seen out of Shogun since his Pride days. Unbelievable. I've watched it again, and again, and again, and even counted points a few times. It was super close, but Shogun won, IMO.

I think no matter how hard Shogun would have fought, if it went to decision Machida would win no matter what, since he's the "favorite". Even some of the ref's calls were biased, IMO.

I mean, if Machida's going to win no matter what, why even bother have him defend his title?

Brock Lesner...I see the same thing happening on Nov. 21st with Shane Carwin...do we really think Shane Carwin has a REMOTE possibility of winning if it isn't by submission? Cuz we all know he's not going to by knockout and definately not decision, once again, Brock is the "favorite".

And Dana...greedy old man that he is...now makes us DOWNLOAD A PROGRAM ON OUR COMPUTERS to be able to watch the weigh-ins before the fights. Which used to be free online right after it happened. He thinks his heavyweight division is "the best it's ever been".

His heavyweight division is Brock Lesner and Lyoto Machida for crying out loud! That's it!

I'm really starting to lose a lot of respect for how Dana is running the UFC these days. I was looking foreward to the Lesner fight until I saw what happened with Shogun and Machida. Not cool, IMO. :main_thumbsdown:

Most of UFC 104 was pretty boring IMO. The best fight was Ben Rothwell vs Cain Velasquez. The Shogun vs Machida fight was boring as well. I understand that they were doing everything right. Machida was good, but Shogun was perfect. Maybe the judges don't consider body shots worthy of points. But Shogun was obviously the aggressor (which should have earned points). I agree with you Maia, Shogun totally won the fight. I like Machida, but his style of fighting isn't very entertaining...effective for him, but not entertaining.

I'm still looking forward to see Brock wreck another opponent. Kinda like David vs Goliath. I want David to win, but c'mon...it's freakin' GOLIATH here!!!

hey Maia,

me and my girlfriend went out to see that fight and shes a machida fan and me a shougun fan since his pride days, i agree that shougun won, look at machidas face, look at him limp after the match. Yahoo said it was shoguns fault he lost because his corner said he was winning the fight so he felt no pressure to push the fight but i still think shogun won. Lets c if ddana really does do a rematch with these guys cause neither guy should have to fight anyone else but each other if u ask me. B4 the match ended every jounalist there started writing that shogun won, dana said shogun won, the fighters in the back said shogun won. I f we go by the to be the champ u have to beat the champ shogun did that. As for brock and carwin i think shane has a shot. jhis stand-up is wwaayyy better than brock and he has some wrestling background, my only concern is how freakisly strong brock is but can he take a good shot to the chin.... i don't know. Remember when mir kneed him in there last fight and brock was laying on him for a bit cause he even admitted to seeing birds. That fight is on hold anyways but i really wish rampage woulda kicked rashads a$$ b4 he went to do the a-team!!

+1
Every fight that machida is in is BORING, and it's annoying. His style of fighting re-creates the same fight over and over and over again. I have seen him booed in more fights than any other fighter because he slows down the pace so much! His fights make me miss my DVR. :main_thumbsdown: Someone on one of the fight forums said "I wanted to watch a fight not a track meet!" lol!
