Unusual SS Trait? *Big Pics DUW*

So I got a really cool Super Snow het Bell from Debbie on 4/29... His pattern was very light in Debbie's pic as was it when he arrived... A couple days later I noticed he was getting darker... After two weeks he was as dark as any other SS out there... Then the other day I find some shed skin in his tub so I opened his hide to see if he had any stuck and he's light again... If I hadn't noticed the skin I would've just thought he was in shed... Another days goes by and he's dark again... At this point I figure he's just shedding a lot since he's growing so much... :main_laugh: Well today when I first checked him he was light, two hours go by checked him again and he was dark... :main_rolleyes: Now he's sitting here as I type this and he's gone from dark to light in a matter of minutes... :main_yes: :beam:

So I'm wondering if this is something that typically happens with Super Snows and I'm just oblivious to the fact since I've only ever hatched one? Anybody else's Supers do this?

I recently got a very nice SS male from Paul Sage, and when I opened the deli cup he was VERY light... much like the first photo. After a few days, he looked like a normal, dark Super Snow.

My male SS goes back and forth from black to gray also.

Maybe it's a guy thing then? My one that I hatched was a female and never lost her contrast (sold a few months ago)... :main_laugh:

I think they have similar color changes like blizzards,
my super snow female also alternates from dark to light, but not THAT light.
