I would assume you could drop off at an actual UPS customer service store as opposed to one of those "mailboxes" stores. You could also book a pick up with shipyourreptiles.com.

I remember a long time ago that the UPS affiliated drop off franchises could set their own store policies (ie. not accept animals). I don't know if policies have changed but you might want to check with your local UPS stores.

Actually, most 'UPS Stores' are privately owned franchises and many will not accept shipments of live animals, although UPS itself allows it according to their TOS. It certainly wouldn't hurt to call your local UPS Store and ask what their individual policies are.

The closest UPS store to me would not accept them. They go buy their own franchised rules and not UPS. Definitely call first.

Well, two of the UPS Stores in Fort Wayne, IN will take shipments. So if you come out this way and ship them, you'll be just fine. :main_laugh: :main_rolleyes:

Yea I used to write live harmless, but now I just download the print out off of shipyourreptiles.com, the ups store near me freaked when they seen the air holes in the box, but once I explained they were harmless geckos, and I showed some pics on my phone, they were fine with it.

I've never had any problems with the UPS stores. Once employees weren't sure if they shipped live animals, but I kindly reminded them that they do ship small reptiles other than snakes and enthusiastically described what was in the box, and then they were cool with it. Most of the time if you're polite and seem reasonable they'll ship the animals when they seem hesitant at first. Once they get to know you, you're in the green anyway. May be best to ship a few non-gecko related items with them first so you've got an account with them though. Then you've got some additional accountability.
