Our package with our very first enigma a female het raptor and our nice bell male from Steve Sykes got sent to the wrong hub! It was sent to Illinois instead of Kentuky! OOO We are soooo pissed right now! And since it wasn't needed, they have no heat pack...but it's supposed to get cold tonight...the people at UPS said the package should be here tomorrow...but if it arrives at Rockledge we can pick it up before they close. Let's all hope it arrives so we can pick it up! :furious3: :furious3: :furious3: :furious3: :furious3: :furious3: :furious3: :hanged:

Did we mention we are pissed off?! :main_angry:

That sucks. I personally do not like UPS. I think the past 4 or 5 packages we have gotten shipped to us by them have arrived either late or were incorrectly routed. FedEx is awesome tho.

I am sure that the geckos will get to you in good shape. Try not to get too stressed out. I know its hard to do. Try and stay calm. The geckos will get to you as soon as possible.

When we got our Enigma Male shipped to us from Kelli a while back. The package got held up at some station. But we were luckily able to pick up the package at the Hub just before they closed.

UPS will send the packages through either Ontario (CA), Louisville, or Illinois depending on the payload and/or weather conditions. Louisville is having sub-zero snow and ice conditions right now.

I have had bad experiences with FedEx as well. But that was driver error.

Well they told Steve it was going through Louisville, but it ended up in Illinois. Either way, it says on the tracking thing online that it was incorrectly routed.

Well, according to UPS, it left Illinois at 2:40 Am...you'd think it would atleast be in Orlando by now? They are just telling us it's in transit...that helps alot...has anyone heard of any UPS planes crashing?

The UPS tracking only updates every so often, you get a more precise location by calling them and telling them you want them to see where it is. Do not use the automated computer on the phone, it will give you the same as the internet.

The outlook is grim. :main_no: We've just got news that they're still sitting in the hub in Illinois...that's 18 hours in 20 degree weather. Steve said he doubts they will make it here alive. :( We are also doubting it now. We're going to pick them up tomorrow at 8:30...I hope these are miracle geckos...you'd think the people at the hub would see that they are live animals and put them inside. I won't open the package tomorrow because I know I'll cry if I see them. Gosh I am distraut right now...

Mallorie, make SURE you allow the geckos to stabilize at normal room temperature for several hours before doing anything!

About 3 years ago, I shipped 2 geckos to separate destinations through the UPS jub in Louisville, KY when the weather report said the overnight lows would be in the mid 40's. Well, the entire Southeastern US got blind-sighted by an ice storm that night, which totally immobilized many of the airports for several days. I just knew the geckos were dead after being stuck in the UPS hub in sub-zero temperatures for 3 days. Well, they both arrived in a coma... but they BOTH recovered!

I'll be thinking and praying for the safety of the geckos, and for you guys, too!!!
