i am in shock to how beautiful those monitors look. BEAUTIFUL! Congrats! I wish you luck breeding them! :main_thumbsup:

I can only imagine what a captive bred V. spinulosus would look like...:main_cool3:

It will not be long before you get to see what CBB spinulosus look like...:main_thumbsup:

The colors are really awesome on these guys... They have orange faces and hands, they have green on the neck and their spots are cream colored to yellow/green... And their backgroung ranges from light to dark olive green... They are reall spectacular looking and next to gilleni, they are my favorite monitor species...

The list I am talking about is for all of NY state. The one that wont allow large snake species like retics and burmese pythons also includes caimans and some large monitor species so I was just curious thats all. :)

I'll tell you one thing, after seeing them I totally agree with splitting them off as a separate species-they don't look like mangroves at all.

That just goes to show you how messed up taxonomy was back in the day... I am not saying it is any better today though... LOL

But yes, they are very far removed from the indicus complex...
