Well I posted a little less than a week ago, with a very sick little gecko I (in a weak, sad state) purchased from a large chain pet store. When I got him he was VERY dehydrated, incredibly thin, and so very weak he wouldn't move when I picked him up or handled him. This is a picture the day I brought him home...
Now here are some pictures I took today, 6 days since we brought him home (ignore the brown spots on his neck and nose...leftover slurry
):
This last one I thought was a cute "try me" pose
He was on the slurry for the first 2 days, to get some fluids back into him, and from then on he's mowed down about 4 crickets, plus his wax worm treat every night. Normal bowel movements, and one shed puts this little guy on the right track to recovery
ALSO, in speaking with my incredibly helpful and informative friend Eric (Oregon Gecko), we both believe he is NOT a Murphy Patternless, but instead an Albino Patternless!! I consider this change in events to be my present for rescuing him
An Albino Patternless will REALLY be influential in my breedings next season. Eric actually brought up the possibility due the color of his eyes, and the red veins in them...as Eric told me most of his Murphys have almost black eyes.
