I have been watching this thread with great interest and will do an extensive comparison of Vionate to Allen Repashy's Insect Gutload soon. I agree, Vionate should only be used as feeder nutrition.

In my book "Geckos," which was written before the present version of Calcium Plus was made, I recommended leaving out dishes of Calcium for young and breeding females. Now, using Calcium Plus, that recommendation is null and void because Calcium Plus, balanced with insect feeder nutrients, supplies all the Calcium geckos need. Leaving out dishes of Calcium when using Calcium Plus creates an overdose situation, which can lead to Calcium binding of food (gecko does not get calcium because of this) and calcification of internal organs.
