ANy thoughts???

I was thinking of getting 3 or so, my room is just kind of, ya know, cluttered with 2 -20g long, a 30g tall and 2-10g tanks....

As far as i know UTH are okay.. As well as coming with optional dividers if needed..

Just thought i'd ask " the homies :p ", Before i purchase some !

I use these for several of my breeding groups and I really like them. Underneath there are plastic supports that limit the size of the UTH that you can use. Ultratherm 6" x 17" works very well. They are available at Bean Farm, haven't seen them anywhere else.

They assemble easily and stack well, my only caution would be that if the room they are in gets cold, the UTH may not be enough heat and if stacked you can't add an overhead heat source. I suppose you could add a second UTH to the back though. My gecko room stays pretty warm so they work perfectly for me. Here's an old picture - I picked up three more so I have a stack of 5 & a stack of 4 under the window.

I have one visionarium which I like. I have heard reports that they tend to sag a bit in the middle which mine is doing but it doesn't affect its function. Something else to check out is the stackable, front opening tanks from glasscages.com. I have a bunch of those and they not only work well, but they're much cheaper. The last ones I got were "half '29's" meaning the same width and length as a 29 gallon (30"x12") but half as tall (about 10-12"). I got these for $25 each (although I think they undercharged me). The "half 29" size doesn't appear on their website. They also make a cage with sliding glass doors for $50 which is the same dimensions as the visionarium. The glass is thinner, it doesn't have that cool molded plastic bottom and there are no handles on the doors. The visionarium is worth the extra money, but the other type works just as well and is a lot less expensive.

I noticed that an error in my earlier post - I actually use 6 x 23" ultratherms with them. I picked up a few more at NARBC this year - they had some seconds that were much reduced in price. :)
