Water question.

I know people say to change the water once a day. I normally don't. Is this ok? It is so the water level stays high or is it for a health reason? I normally just fil it each day or when it needs to..

The way I see it, is would you want to drink water that has been sitting for a few days? I know I wouldn't. Plus, the longer it sits, the more bacteria can/will be in it.

I rinse the bowl out, pretty much daily. Just for the fact they walk through it, crickets swim through it, etc.
If there's bacteria in the water, it stays there if you're only adding water to it (and also probably multiplying).
I dump the old water in a houseplant instead of walking downstairs with a full bowl. A quick rinse in the sink with a sponge, then I refill it in the cage from a bottle of water.
At least every other day should be okay.

I have to admit I'm a lazy owner, I normally change the water and wash the water dish twice a week.

We do every other day when we change papers.

I do it when I change their paper..usually about once a week
