So i started breeding my mealies back in...august? Maybe beginning of september. Then i noticed my beetles were dying off so i just said screw it. Then i noticed that some of the extra pupae i had had turned into beetles. I went to scoop out the dead beetles and out in the new ones when i saw something....tiny little mealie babies!! Almost microscopic. So i put some potato in there. Should i put the live beetles in a different box then them(the babies and beetles are together right now)? Will the beetles eat the babies? How long will it be before the babies are big enough to feed to my geckos? I had about 30-40 beetles, how many babies would you guess i have in there? Thanks!

Put the new beetles in their own gutload. The babies will grow bigger faster if it's warmer for them. With 30-40 beetles, I would say you will have a lot of mealies.

congrats on your new little mealies! i started my colony about a month ago and it was going really slowly at first (i am very impatient lol) but yesterday i pulled out 8 "aliens" and today i pulled out 12! have two beetles already too, hoping the rest of these guys become beetles soon so i can have mealie babies of my own.
