Weather Too COLD!

Ok, so I'm a little grouchy this morning with bad sleep and having to get up early to drop the dog at the vet to get blood work and a checkup.

So my mini rant today...

It's freaking cold!!!

I don't mind it much, but I have reptiles I want to ship out but can't because the locations are 25F and below at night. That just won't work. We'd have gecko popsicles and that's just not what I want.

I've got 5 or 6 geckos going to NY.
Potentially 3 going to MO
1 going to VA.

That's three different locations and all below 30F for at least the next 10 days. There's just no letting up.

I'm hoping FL doesn't go below freezing. I potentially have 2 more going there if I get my money order and it clears. So far it's in the 40sF at night for the next 10 days, but my luck it'll freeze over when I get the money order and everything is ready to ship.

I'd like a whopping 10 degrees more and we'll be good to go. One big trip to UPS and ship everyone to their new homes..

I'm waiting on three geckos myself, and waiting to ship one. What can you do? This has been a crappy winter, for sure! :main_thumbsdown: But it's nobody's fault, and totally out of our control.

I think I have 13 to ship and 5 waiting to come here. I hate how cold it's been. I'm glad everyone is being so patient. I just want a few warm days early in a week.:(

I agree. I am glad people are being impatient, but mother nature is killing us this year.

I have had a few people get irritated that I won't ship with 20F overnight lows.

Last year, I had a guy email every day asking if I would ship. "I paid, I expect my product now!" was the response I kept getting. I had a one day window to ship his geckos to him, and I snatched it. The next day turned way too cold again. I couldn't imagine that guy this year... He'd have to wait over a month versus a few weeks. He drove me up the wall...

It's still frustrating. lol ... The minute you think it's warming, Mother Nature gives it to us again.

I was really hoping that the groundhog wasn't going to see his shadow this year. I haven't even updated our website or made any gecko ads this winter since it's been too cold to ship. We're actually waiting to get a few geckos. We haven't bought any geckos in a long time and I'm super excited to get them. I'm just trying to forget about them for now so the waiting is easier! lol

Come on Spring!!

edit: Oh geez, our Houston weather man just said, "And we may see snow tomorrow morning!". Uggghhhhhh...
