I have a holdback super snow born 8/22/08 who, like all the snows I've produced, gains weight slowly. She has been 11 grams for quite awhile. This weekend I got some superworms and she has had 2 worms each day (Fri. and Sat). I don't know, honestly, where she's putting them; end to end, the 2 are longer than she is. I weighed her this morning: 14 grams. Of course it may be all gone one poop later . . .

Hopefully some of that weight stays after she potties, Aliza! My guys have always had a bit of a growth spurt after starting on Supers. I hope your little one does, too! :)

I'm not really worried about her. Her parents, who I got as adults, also tend to be lean and lanky and were slow to gain. She's very active and bright (there's a picture of her here: http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=29070). I have another baby from different parents born 4 days after her who is already about 25 grams!

Oh, she's a little doll! I've heard other people mention the fact that their Super Snows seemed to bit a bit slower to gain weight and mature. She looks very healthy.

Our one super snow has taken the longest to grow as well. Actually, his clutchmate also is taking a long time, and it's a regular snow. Ours too eats super worms, seems to want one all of the time, but is still growing at a slow rate. Don't Super Snows also tend to be at the smaller end when it comes to size? I've never seen one that looks to be over 60 grams; but then again, I don't know all of the weights of the ones I have seen.

Do you have any updated pics of that one? It's very beautiful :smitten:

She actually doesn't look much different from the picture that's been posted. It was taken just a couple of weeks ago. She's a *little* bit bigger. I have one more gecko to sell before she can get a bigger, more permanent home.

I hope she picks up for you... My experience has been the same with Super Snows... That's until I my SS Bell came along... Hatched on 11/14 around 4 grams... Hit 11 grams today...

I have a bunch of slow growers this year. But they were all really tiny babies to start. But since I have made the Switch over to Roaches(only a couple of weeks now) all can all ready see an improvement in growth and weight gain over the mealies and supers. The Silks worked great when I used them but they go quick.
