Well I think she's going to die..

Well I think June bug is going to die..She hasn't eaten in months, and looking at pictures of her from when she was eating and comparing them to now, she looks like crap. She has no color..she used to be bright yellow and had bright orange on her tail, and now her head is white and her yellow is brown, and her tail is just gray..She used to look like what is in my display pic, and now you couldn't even tell she is the same gecko.

I've tried everything..I've tried upping the temps, adding new things to her environment, force feeding, slurpy, vets etc..and she just..won't eat..:(

Now she just ignores the food and acts like its not even there.

I've ordered 2000 roaches(for other reptiles) and maybe she will like the new food, but if she doesn't, there's nothing more I can do..

If she doesn't eat soon, should I put her down? Obviously something is wrong if an animal doesn't eat for months.

Does anyone have any other advice that maybe has worked?

Thanks for any and all help..

Yes, our only herp vet, spent an outrageous amount of money to be told they couldn't figure out anything..(this is fairbanks, alaska)

She still drinks normally, and doesn't have parasites. The corner where she goes to the bathroom only has the white urate part, obviously no food because no eating..

Did the vets take an xray to see if she had an egg stuck in there? And maybe you can post before and after pics? Sometimes girls go off food this time of year when ovulating, though more than a month is worrisome.

I can't take pics, I only have Dial up, I'll see if I can take one picture and maaybbee photobucket will let me upload it and post it....If I'm lucky.

The vet said they couldn't x-ray her. But said she doesn't have any eggs. Actually, the vet wasn't able to tell if she was a girl or a boy..(freaking Alaska) She has two bulges like a boy, but no pre anal pores, so they said probably female, but weren't 100 percent sure.

A before pic would be in my display picture, that's how colorful and fat she was, just semi shedding, you can see how her tail was fat and squishy, but she was, and is still young, so still needed to gain more weight.

Okay, she is a HE..I looked at his underside under a bright light and saw pre anal pores(the V scales with the darker dots in the center) and he has the two bulges....so no ovulation for this boy...and I'm positive...the V of scales is very noticeable now...along with the bulges...

He looks brighter than yesterday and his tale isn't gray...I'm so confused..I took some pictures..his tail is thinning down, but he's not thin.

His color is still, well, dull and pale, nothing like it is in my display pic.

I don't want to state the obvious, but he's not just dull and pale because he's shedding?

Do you know the last time he did shed? ... could it be that the shed is stuck, or he's maybe having a problem shedding?

No he's not shedding, he shed in the middle of his not eating and he ate it all, so I thought he'd be full from that, but not for another month... He was dull before that, and is still dull after wards.

He's also never had a problem shedding.

I'm very new to this so I can't really suggest anything useful, but one of mine is badly off too, and I know how awful it is, so *hugs*.

HE ATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I had one little cricket left over that my baby beardie didn't want to eat...and I was like..I wonder what that poor little Leo is up too...I stuck it in there...and he ran up and bit it...then spit it out...and then picked it up and ate it!!! I put a few more in there and he ate those too without spitting them out!! After like 3 though he stopped and just stood up and closed his eyes(he was asleep before I woke him up) He's gone back to bed now..

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with me adding a cool piece of wood that lets him go to the top of his tank, when I put it in there he was all over it and running around like he used to.

I have tried the slurry, it didn't do anything..

I'm wondering if he is just sick of crickets, it almost looked like he ate the crickets because he was hungry, he totally looked like he did not enjoy them at all. It was like a little kid eating veggies because he wants desert.

Hopefully when the roaches get here in a few days it may perk up his appetite, but if not, at least these few crickets are a start!

wow you're out in the middle of nowhere it seems..lol

Congrats that he ate :)

and you may be right about the food thing. My girl just stopped being interested in crickets and LOVESSS mealworms now. I'd rather her eat crickets but as long as she's eating then I won't complain. Hopefully the roaches work :)

Spots does Ontario have a good herp vet?

I love Alaska and Fairbanks, but not having a good herp vet sucks. But I love Fairbanks because it has a small population, although the super stores ate starting to take over..but nothing like Anchorage!

Mine is sick as well, and your right, most vet's are horrible with repi's. I suggest going to www.reptilechannel.com/vetlist I found some great REPTILE vets in my area! If that doesnt work, you could also try www.arav.org to find some in your area as well. Hope this helps!

2 roaches today. He seems as active as usual, he tried to grab it from the tongs but hit the tongs so I dropped the roach in his house(and those suckers are fast!) But he managed to hunt two down and didn't want anymore after that.

But it's something.

How can I slow down the Turks, someone said put them in the fridge for a few minutes, is that true?
