Our last clutches turned out perfectly. They did everything like clockwork. Then again, the incubator was in the snake room which was temp controled at 86* all the time. This time, the incubator is in our bedroom and while theres heat inside, the outside temp is in the upper 70's.

Now my idiot daughter had some brain dead friends over a few times and every time they were here, I would find my AC set down to 70*. Could that have slowed down the development?

It's poss, couldn't say. They may have just needed more time to develope than normal for whatever reason. Just have to wait it out for now.

I've had ball eggs hatch in 55 days and some at 65 all in the same incubator at the same time, you just never know.

Now, I had pipped them at 62 days because I hadn't seen anything happen and its obvious now that they just weren't ready.
Should I have waited until day 65? Or is it best to just let them go until they start showing signs of possible distress?
Some of these babies are so big, I swear they're going to emerge the size of 4 month olds.

It boils down to pip or not to pip and each person has to do what they feel is right. With balls though they do well even if they are not ready.

I havent had a snake in a really really long time. This is kind of getting me interested in one ;-) Which one is better, male or female? What do this guys typically run price wise?

When it comes down to bps, physically females are a bit bigger than males, but as for personality, I couldn't tell you which would be better. All of mine are complete love bugs.

You can pick up a normal bp anywhere between $35 and $80 usually, just depending where you are and who you're getting it from.

Watch out, though. They're horribly addiciting...
