Thanks, Heather. :D
Just listen for the loud girlie-screams that can be heard throughout the lower 48 in the next couple weeks. That'll be me screamin' for my camera. :D

The countdown is on!
About 13 days left and the eggs have started to dent in a bit.

Right on schedule! :D

Its day 62, so we've started pipping them.
This is the first time I've done this, so keep your fingers crossed and send up a prayer for the lot of us!

Its now the 27th and the babies still haven't peeked out. They're all alive and move when we nudge them, but they aren't showing any signs of wanting to come out.

I'm getting a bit concerned. (And impatient)

They may have just not been ready yet. Fortunately they can handle being pipped early and still thrive and will come out when they are ready.

I saw a post somewhere where this guy pipped an egg really early in the developement, and just folded the flap back over and kept it moist. He was able to take pics and show detail developement of the baby inside the egg. Was pretty neat, but I could never do that, I'd be too worried.

Deff. not something to try with a leo egg.

Thanks, Fe.
So we have little windows cut into the eggs. Should we mist them down?

No you didn't!!!

Have any stuck their heads out and taken their first breathe that you can tell? Membrane still intact?

Don't mist them dirrectly. Take a thin damp paper towel and lightly place it over the holes. This will keep the moisture in and still easy enough for them to get out from. I would just cut little squares to go over each egg.

None of them have taken a breath and the membranes are all still intact. I'll get some paper towel on them ASAP.

Thank you so much, Fe.
