Do leos start laying eggs?? I have a 6 month old female and I just wanna make sure that I look for trouble when she does start to lay eggs. She has a moist hide to lay them in but I don't really know what other problems she may have.

If she's kept by herself she may never lay eggs. Females have been known to mate and lay eggs as young as 6 months. If you want to know when she has the potential to lay eggs, search the forum for a picture of leos ovulating and then look at yours to see if she is.

Make sure she is over 50g before she is even introduced to a male. I personally would not breed her even if she is over 50g at 6 months. I would wait until she is about a year old so she gets some more size to her. As soon as she starts breeding she will shed some weight. If she is at 50g now and she starts laying I would expect her to drop to 40g and that might cause some problems with the leo and success of hatch rate.

That being said, one tell sign that she is about to lay eggs is when she starts digging up her wet hide.

I don't plan on breeding her I just wanted to make sure that I know around what time to look for eggs to make sure they dont get stuck or anything. I dont really think it would be responsible for me to let her breed when I dont properly know how to do the whole incubation thing, it would'nt be fair to m gecko or the hatchlings.
