I took a 3 weeks vacation for Christmas and when I came back I noticed that in one of the laying box there was a clutch. First I though that she might laid that clutch the same day or even the day before since the person who was watching them didn't put them on the incubator. What was interesting is that next day she laid another clutch. The clutch that I found the they I cam back from vacation were stuck so I didn't tried to separate them and since the box was humid and temp inside the box was 82º I though that they are ok even when one of them was having a small dent. Since I have S.I.M. the dent disappear very quickly and I candled them I both looks good. Here is the thing It have been 34 days now incubating at 82º and they have not hatch yet. How many days you think this eggs have been incubating? If I take in consideration that females laid the clutch around 2-3 weeks appart it had been already 48-55 days now. Also did you think that the eggs looks ok? I candled them and you still can see the babies inside and it candled red. Please let me know your opinions?
Thanks

Incubate until they hatch or go bad. Some take longer to hatch than others and since you don't have an exact lay date to know how long it's been, all you can do is wait and see.

Could have been incubating 10 to 14 days before you put it in the S.I.M. If you still see an embryo, I would assume that everything is ok... The only thing you can do is wait...

Was there a variation in temps between the nest box and incubator?

Before putting them in the incubator I took the temps of the nest during the on/off period of the heat tape underneath my tubs temperature were from 80.5 to 82 so I set the incubator at 82.

They're probably around 50-55 days old and will hatch at the latest when they're 65 days or so... Just wait it out! They look very good!

Good luck!

Since your tub temps were fairly close, but did vary by a couple degrees to the lower side I would say you still have some time. Almost all of our 82F females hatch out at about 56 days, but we have had some stinkers go longer by several days. I would stick with what Laney said and keep them till they hatch or obviously go bad.

Finally they hatch!!!!! I was shooting for a SS Enigma and when I saw the first one it was just a Snow and I was a little disappointed. The other one was trying to get his head out of the egg and I told my wife that I am not leaving until she comes out. 5 min later a SS!!!! Now needs to wait since I can not determine if she indeed is enigma.
