the egg should be due to hatch within the nfext two weeks. i seems to be a bit wet. kinda like i can see inside of it. it is still firm but looks kinda funny.

I wouldn't toss any egg. Did you candle it? Sometimes that can be tricky I had a egg that got mold and sucken in and still hatched totally fertile, also when I would candle it, it looked neon yellow.

i candled it last night and it was pinkish yellow (more on the pink side). there were a lot of veins. and the bottom of the egg seemed to block the light from going through. could that be were the embrio is?

LEave an egg untill you know it is dead. I do not breed geckos but that is the rule in snakes. I have had eggs look like death and hatch out the best babies. Nature is funny like that.

If you can see the veins in the egg, then leave it go. I will more then likely hatch. Also in the one end of the egg shell that is clear..thats just the calcium that was used to make the egg. Your female might have been low on calcium.

Glad it hatched ok. RE the camera- if it's a decent MP (like 4+) digital you can probably take a pic out further and still be able to see the gecko fine if you crop it later on the computer.
