What does R2 mean?

But it seams that when people say that they have an R2 gecko they are all bold striped

The R2 bold stripes were first peoduced by R2Reptiles. Hope this clears it up for you.

because russell and myself (robin) originated the R2 Reptiles line of bold stripe. R2 reptiles was/is our business name. so when you hear R2 bold stripes it refers to our line of stripes here at R2 Reptiles.

I think you are thinking of F1 F2...wich does have to do with generations

Robin, I have never used it in that context but I suppose it can be applied in that application... Thats why I say the term is usually, but not always reserved for hybridization. In my opinion the term is more properly used when talking about hybrids...
