I hate to say it but I will anyways................ I told you so. Thats why you should buy from a good breeder. There are several great breeders in Florida with good prices. I would put the links to their sites here but I would probly forget some and I won't play favorites. All the breeders here are great and will work with you so you get a gecko you like and it will be healthy. That gecko just cost you about $50-75 for the vet.

Ok speach over sorry.

good news! at least i think its good news :) well last night i didnt give him anything besides mealworms (which apparently he doesnt much care for >.>) because i was waiting a little so maybe some of the initial jumpiness would go away and he would settle in just a bit. well i just put in 3 crickets (all dusted) and just about as SOON as they came within reach of my leo he jumped on them and gobbled the little fools up! hes a hungry little fellow...and i can understand why, but at least hes eating! im gonna try to throw in a few extra crickets and see if hes still hungry and im still planning on taking him to the vet but i just thought this was good news seeing as how hes eating :)

That's great that it's eating but definitely still take it to the vet. Make sure you don't give it too many crickets, it'll need some time to digest them or it'll regurgitate them!

eww....ill give him 1 more...they are very tiny little buggers...but then again so is he (or she) by the way is there any kind of trick to getting them to eat mealworms? like dangling em in his/her face or something? i wanna start my leo early on em so it gets used to em :)

You can dangle then with the tweesers but you would get tired of that pretty fast. I put a few in a shallow food dish and then the leopards saw then crawling on the carpet and they ate them and been eating mealworms ever since. I did that to 2 leopards that were used to just eating crickets. It took about 3 days but now they will eat out of my hand.
